Throwin’ Down A New Breakdance Event
Did you hear?! HUB is throwin down it’s first
BREAKDANCE CYPHER!
To answer your first question, what is a cypher?
A cypher is an event where breakdancers take turns freestyle dancing in a circle, showing off their skills and creativity to the music. It's a space for self-expression and often involves respect and energy exchange among participants.
Coach Romario will be throwing Hub’s first Breakdance CYPHER!
This event is to encourage people, whether they are experienced dancers or not, to learn and experience the breaking culture featuring dance cyphers, workshops, and dance battles! Giving all in attendance a taste of the dance and culture, a chance to witness other dancers, and hopefully spark their interest in learning to break! Did we mention there will be LIVE MUSIC as well?!
Mini Skill Workshops throughout the event will focus on:
Footwork
Freezes
Power-moves
No prior experience or previous attendance at a breakdancing class or event is needed—just bring your enthusiasm and a desire to learn!
So grab your comfiest clothes, best attitude, and head down to HUB on January 11th @ 3pm and be prepared to immerse yourself in the world of breakdance for this two hour learning experience.
